Default Titford tells it like it is !

"It is an axiom of EU membership that the deeper you get in, the less real influence you have."

Jeffrey Titford MEP - February 2003

This is the quote from the UKIP website!

How very refreshing for one of our most senior MEPs to speak out on this matter .
How this squares with Our Boys spending large amounts of time "over there" ,and moving into larger and better offices in the EU Parliament I`m not too sure but there it is.
You couldn`t make it up .

Yes I gather Derek Clark has just taken control of a brand new larger office and is like the cat that got the cream.

UKIP MEPs should be sharing an office and making some kind of stand to show that they treat the whole EU with contempt. Instead they lap up the benifits spending far too much time in Brussels and not enough in the UK.

But then what do your expect from a gaggle of UKIP MEPs who have gone native.

Anyway I shall continue in both a serious and light hearted way to expose the truth and prick, whenever I can, our UKIP MEP's self important balloons. Also to point out any examples, however trivial, to show how they have gone native and generally are letting the members and people who vote for them down.

Default Titford tells it like it is.

I have said this before, but the way forward for ukip is to develop a National leadership team that spends 100% of its time in Britain. The team would be structured so that branch Chairmen would be in direct contact, and be kept up to date in all important areas of campaigning. Research of National issues would be one task for a permanent research team. Of course the MEPs, with the exception of Nigel who does a fantastic job anyway, could then become as semi-detached as they wish, but on the understanding that they do provide the National Party with some finance.

The problem is that now that we have our MEPs in the EU Parliament they have been dragged into the political rangling over group numbers ,group
finance etc etc .
The game which has been laid out by the EU elite for all the MEPs has started to take up too much time and effort and it has become important in their lives .

It is very difficult not to become institutionalised when you are close to the beast of all institutions .

Time to look again at what function we expect our MEPs to perform methinks .

Oh good God.

Why must you use every opportunity to bring up a point which you are outnumbered against?

Am I ? Out numbered I mean .Don`t think so .

If you`ve got a point of view please put it ,it seems to me that your main task is to put the management`s side of things so please get on with it if you want .

The fact remains that the membership should openly discuss and assess what role our MEPs should take .
There clearly has to be a presence out there and NF and others have made some very good points but as for voting on everything and being there for a lot of the time and getting involved in the innner politics of the EU Parl well that `s another matter .

So start a topic and keep it in the topic. You will inevitably tell me that is the purpose of this topic, but it seems more like flaming to me. In any case, and this is probably better aimed at Niall, it is becoming incredibly annoying when every single topic is turned into a shouting match over Farage and his 'cabal'.

In my opinion, the MEPs should turn up the the EU parliament, vote no to everything the EU wants to make legislation and yes to every piece of EU legislation it wants to take away. They should make speeches there so we, and possibly the public, can see them in the action.

I think they will be better at that then knocking on doors.

What do you think they should do?
Also, which NEC candidate is best suited to carry out your intentions?

The topic is based on the quote by GT.The further you get in the less impact you have .I agree with him .
So logically I want them to cut lose from their trips to Brussels ,do the minimum with the max impact, and try give more support over here where we need to make waves.

As to those whom I think would make a difference for the good of the party ,well my vote is my business.
