You can listen to the programme:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/vine/ Select Listen again for Wednesday, I haven't found a way of skipping through though...

He comes on 43 mins into the programme. You can fast forward on the player.

Not worth the effort.
Pretty lightweight performance really, but it is difficult to make much impact when you only get to speak about 10 sentences.

I reckon Farage did pretty well with the limited opportunity given to him to speak. He was robust and lively in defence of Russian democracy, didn't pull his punches about Putin and didn't mention the EU even once!
![]() Also, the Labour bloke on the programme came across as a total embarrassment. As Farage said, he sounded like an old-style apologist for the Soviet Union. |

Nigel did very well as usual. Sounded assured, reasonable and knowing the subject (not one many could wander into confidently).
That Bob Wareing is a total waste of space. Got into the safe seat of Liverpool West Derby years ago after being big in Labour Party circles in Merseyside (former FE college politics lecturer) and promptly moved home out of the constituency! (to Warrington). Thinks he's cool old labour. |

I agree that Wareing was utterly stupid, but then what else can you expect from someone who, no doubt, would have liked Brezhnev to have been running the UK!
I wasn't impressed by Farage because there wasn't anything like a debate going on and I think he should have been a bit more scathing about some of the things the old duffer said, Vine was teeing him up for it. He was really a bit too nice. I'd like to see him perform in an hour long debate with two or three other higher ranked ministers/shadows before coming to any sort of conclusion about his abilities.
