xhenry is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Local Borough Eu Ambassador

I really hope this is some sort of early April Fools joke but somehow I doubt it - Its just some council whizkids idea off of the 50 year celebrations. - Note especially the push to get local businesses flying the EU flag

Default No joke

I'm hoping this is an April Fool's Joke.

If it's not a joke it won't be a joke either on the poor people of South Tyneside who would have to pay for such a thing.

The waste of some local councils is appalling. I read a couple of weeks ago of a Labour council which is taking on a "Tobacco Enforcement Officer" to make sure the smoking ban (coming in shortly) is obeyed.

Ralf Poilo translates to April Fool. It is a pretty poor april fool because it is so patently true that it or something very similar will be reality in the very near future. Or is the journalist hopefully making the true, UKIP, position for us in a satirical way?

In what language? I'm not getting anything relevant when I google the name.

It's Sicilian. Sicily's language is derived from (but not identical to) Italy's. That's why Poilo will seem familiar to you.

No you shouldn't! The obvious should be left to the reader - this is not an election campaign.
