South West Rally April 14
Quote:
DearAll, What started out as the South West Rally on April 14 has now turned into the UKIP Spring Rally. Enclosed you will find various enclosures and a ticket order form if you would like to go. It will be a good Rally.
I am sure I will see some of you there.
Cheers,
Steve Harris

Like the Four Tops said - "I'll be there".
I'm up for it - going large for a couple of days - anyone else?

U.K. INDEPENDENCE PARTY
South West Conference and Rally
UKIP: the Real Opposition
Saturday 14th April 2007
The Great Hall, Exeter University
Dear Member,
I am pleased to invite you to our fourth UKIP South West Rally. The venue is the same as the highly successful rallies in 2002 and 2003 and 2006. Those of you who attended previously will know that they were highly successful events with over 500 listening to prominent national speakers.
This year we will have Lord Willoughby de Broke, who, along with Lord Pearson, gave UKIP our first representation in Westminster when he joined us earlier this year. Professor Tim Congdon, one of Britains economic heavyweights, who joined us at the same time, is also making his first keynote speech to UKIP at Exeter
Then we have Lindsay Jenkins, author of many books on the EU and particularly expert in the field of local government. We then have an array of UKIP speakers from around the country, notably the Party Leader Nigel Farage and three MEPs.
We in the South West pioneered the use of such things as video projection that set the benchmark for the Partys national conferences. Our marketing has also improved over time, which has done our financial reserves some good, helping us to fight elections. This year one innovation is a question time with the Party Leader that will allow audience participation.
The years Rally has added importance as the launch pad for our local election campaign. As the only national event at this time of year, we hope it will draw guests from far outside the South West.
Doors will be open from 10.00 a.m. and the rally will be opened at 11 a.m.
It will run through to 4.30 p.m., with a generous break for lunch, when you can renew old friendships and visit the extensive merchandise tables organised by David Bendall. Full catering facilities are available at lunchtime and there is plenty of free car parking. We will be able to reserve some parking close by for the disabled and for those organising group travel etc. - for details please call Eric Bransden, The Exeter UKIP Chairman on 01392 877044 or 077893 165588.
Admission will be by ticket only, allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. These are free of charge but to be frank we are in need of generous donations since it is going to cost some £5,000 to finance the day. An application form is enclosed. Late applicants however will be able to obtain tickets at the door, subject to availability. We shall invite all like-minded people and groups to attend.
Yours sincerely
Malcolm Wood
