I don't think former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey, in his position as a senior figure in the Church of England, could really join any political party.
It would be nice if it turned out that Lord Carey were eurosceptic and anti-EU, though. I always remember ex-Labour MP George Thomas, the former Speaker of the House of Commons, warning about the dangers of the EU when he became Lord Tonypandy. |

News today of Sayeedi Warsi, the Conservative Vice Chairman who appeared on BBC 1 Television Question Time last week along with UKIP leader Nigel Farage MEP, who now says that rejected asylum seekers in the UK should be allowed to "do limited work" :x :
