A bit of caring left wingness won't do Farage any harm either.
What like Cameron?
The point of Nigel and most UKIPers in general is that we call it how we see it, not making up caring cuddly remarks to get a few more votes.
We call it conviction, not opportunity politics

I thought Nigel did very well and he seemed to be popular with the audience.

Nigel is soooo good that I can see the Tories asking him to accept a position in their cabinet when they form the next Government. It would be an offer that he would be unlikely to refuse - and he wouldn't even have to cross the floor.

A good performance but what is needed is other members getting about and being as good as NF's

That doesn't make two of us.

His take on the HMS Cornwall crisis was completely off in my opinion.

I thought Farage did well despite not getting a fair crack of the whip as regards equal time compared to the others.

The boring old fool Carey rambled on forever whilst being indulged by Dimbleby, Carey's tedious monologue regarding how the super casino issue was a moral outrage before revealing that he and another 22 of the 26 unelected Bishops in the House of Lords hadn't bothered to turn up and vote was quite frankly stunning in it's demonstration of why these religous old fools must be barred from any National decision making immediately.

The rest of the panel apart from Nigel were possibly the weakest panel I have ever witnessed on QT, the business woman was cruelly out of her depth, Blears was an embarrassment, and the Conservative spokewoman started off badly and marginally recovered before being briefly savaged by Farage.

Nigel did indeed do justice to the cause and a minor indication of how important National exposure of this kind is that on the internet message board of the football league team that I support a thread was opened by 2 contributers headed up ' Nigel Farage' in which both respondents praised his refreshing approach to politics despite previously being sceptical of UKIPS political position.

The reason that I mention this is that quite clearly these appearances are noticed by the general public and do influence and recruit previously sceptical new supporters.

How unfortunate then that the leadership has lost as many devout members in the past 12 months as Nigel's appearances will recruit transitory ones in the next 3 years.

No, he doesn't want our meagre forces to get bogged-down further in the Middle East quagmire.

Default Mr. Farage's appearance on Question Time 29.3.2007

The average viewer would have seen Nigel as a serious political figure with strong and sensible views on a wide number of issues not simply the leader of a single issue fringe party.
I agree with this. I've seen most of Mr. Farage's appearances on television and this was one of his best. He was succinct and positive. No other small party - the 'Greens' or the ludicrous europhile Liberal Dims - has anyone like Mr. Farage to put on television.

Wisely Mr. Farage didn't go about the EU on matters not directly connected to the EU issue (he assumed, rightly, that people who watch Question Time do know who UKIP are and what the party stands for) - but he did take the opportunity to call for an independent foreign policy (in the discussion about the abduction of our soldiers by the authorities of Iran).

People in other parties who would like to see the back of UKIP will have watched a confident and well-informed Mr. Farage and been aware that this is a leader of a political party which is here to stay.

Just watched it, some good points by Nigel but IMHO still too strident and comes across too arrogant. Needs to soften his tone and come across as more considering - even though his answers are good, just change the pace and tone diwn a little.

Blears was dreadful though.
