Default 250 Candidates To Stand in The South-East - Farage

http://www.theargus.co.uk/news/local...een_better.php

Nigel Farage has plans to stand 250 candidates in the South East to compliment a growth in branches and membership - which is now recovering from the Kilroy-Silk dip whilst promising to gain more MEPs in 2009 than any other party.

That's interesting - in the article Farage claims that in the past the Party "was amateurish". The past ??????

There are no actual PLANS to put up 250 candidates in the SE, only a Nigel dream. Branches are left entirely on their own to decide if they have the organisation desire knowledge and capacity to put up any candidates, how many, and what leaflets if any they have the £ to sort out or buy from HQ and legs to deliver.

If there was an actual plan for quantity and targetting 250 would be a very modest target if SE is 20% of all UKIP membership, bearing in mind so many councils are up for election. Anyway assuming 25 of the 250 are really "active" wards ( not just paper or one shot passive leafleting ), 5 of these could have been selected for regional targeting to win.
