Today, misleadingly we are again described as the Anti-European party. Sloppy reporting at best, misleading I consider. It is high time that the press were taken to task over this continued confusion, peddaling the LibLabCon game.
Any thoughts on how to achive this rebalance? |

I would think that sending a letter to all media outlets outlining what they are saying is misleading the public.
Alternatively, taking out ads and making the statement that "UKIP are anti-European Union"and not anti-Europe, in all national papers, may help stop this deliberate "error" significantly. |

It is the subtle use of language that can make the less interested voter, discount, or even support UKIP for the wrong reasons.
Some people really are foreigner haters. They might well like anti-European. It is dishonest though and not what UKIP is supposed to be about. Enemies of UKIP use it for good reason. It gives the party that "nasty" tinge. Most people don't want something that is nasty. UKIP have to make sure they use the right language all the time. This hasn't always been the case, but is better now. I wouldn't go ovrboard on it, but certainly in all contact with the public, UKIP should be clear it is the political element of European Union, not Europe and it's people that is the problem. If there are debates and the oppisition say it, then they should be corrected , firmly, every time.
