Despite UKIP's principled opposition, the Scottish Parliament is going to continue to exist, because a lot of folk in Scotland wanted something like that. So long as the Scottish Parliament exists, so will the Welsh Assembly. The Welsh may not like it very much, but they'll be damned if the Scots have something that they don't. So long as the Scottish and Welsh bodies exist, English people will feel aggrieved that they don't have a parliament too. We have to find a way to bring the whole system into balance again. |

English is a key word for many of the people trying to destroy this country. The English people have lost any sense of culture and it's going to make it much easier for us to assimilate immigrant communities into England if we become an independent nation by re-inventing what it is like to be English. I don't want it.
I really am envious of the Welsh, Scots and Irish, they have been able to retain their identity and culture so far. I think its great that many people speak in their regional Gaelic accent and haven't had it diluted. Although the Welsh and Scottish nationalists appear to be ignoring everything that's Welsh and Scottish in favour of everything South-East Asian. I can't see how or why the people would vote to destroy their own culture and identity. Even our crown dependencies which aren't part of the EU are going down the pan. An independent England will be the final nail in this countries coffin regardless of what Tyndall thought. If this country falls apart I can see pockets of England trying to become independent nations in themselves to avoid the continuation of the social experiment being forced on us. We need to educate and continue to be the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Failing that, I'll be living off the sea near the Isles of Scilly like Kevin Costner in Waterworld. Feel free to stop by for a cup of tea. |

given the small support they have in Scotland and Wales they essentially are an English Party, there appears little chance of this changing but events could prove me wrong. |

As things stand, UKIP might get some support in Wales (whether it is enough to get a seat in the Welsh Assembly this May remains to be seen), but the party is very weak in Scotland at the moment. It will be interesting to see how well the UKIP candidate at South Down does in next month's Northern Ireland Assembly election.
There is a strong case for closer co-operation between UKIP and the English Democrats to avoid vote splitting - at least at local level. |
