Default Farage criticised over dolphins in Tory MEP's attack on UKIP

Nigel Farage MEP, leader of UKIP, has been singled out for criticism in a report on the Conservative Party website about dolphins and a vote in the EU 'Parliament'.

The official website of the Conservative Party carries a report titled “UKIP’s Farage is far from dolphin friendly” and includes the following:

Proposals to introduce a uniform definition of driftnets to help control and enforce restrictions and so further protect dolphins and whales got the thumbs down from a far from dolphin-friendly UKIP today.

Driftnets, huge nets placed near the sea surface and banned by the EU since 2002, can trap large numbers of whales and dolphins.

Fisheries spokesman for the Conservatives in the European Parliament Struan Stevenson MEP said: "Driftnets have been banned in the EU for several years now. This proposal tightens up procedures. UKIP clearly doesn't care for dolphins."

(End of quote from report on Conservative website)

Britannist adds: Struan Stevenson is considered to be one of the most pro-EU members of the UK Conservative group in the EU ‘Parliament’.

Unfortunately the way in which the EU packages the items together for block voting means UKIP has to make a judgement about which way to vote. Of coure this will lead to apparent strange voting.

Pathetic and shows how low Blue Labour have sunk. They are singing from the same songsheet at the Richard Corbetts of this world now.

Corbett is most unpleasant  . UKIP should take it as a compliment that he hates the party. Anyone approved of by Corbett is doing something seriously wrong.

Default Dolphins - Dr. North say BNP and Cons. criticising UKIP

Dr. Richard North, the former UKIP member, claims that both the Conservative Party and the BNP are criticising UKIP (scroll down to section dated 18.2.2007 and articled titled ‘Strange Bedfellows’):
