Pretty accurate compared to most polls that try to take a whole country into account then.

YouGov asked 2019 out of the 44,423,440 people eligible to vote.

Oh well, perhaps I'm wrong, but you better hope I'm not. It has the Greens and the BNP as the top choice of smaller party for younger voters.

If UKIP can't garner the support of the young, dynamic and ambitious part of society, and relies increasingly upon the older section, it's going to struggle.

The Tories always used to win with mainly the oldies vote.

Oldies tend to become more Conservative as they age, either due to wisdom or braincell death, depending on your standpoint.

Older people tend to actually vote too.

You of course want em all, but if you are going to have a power base, the older generation is a great place to have it. As long as you stick to your values, the younger ones grow into your base as they age anyway.

God knows what I will be when I'm old. I started off Socialist and have already reached Libertarian.

Ageist ****.

Youngster will become older and wiser and that's when they will vote more too.

Youngster go for ideology in a big way. UKIP could tap that if it tried harder, but to try and right off the older generation like that makes me sick.

Ok, I am sorry. I honestly was, mkp. I'd hate to think anyone holding my nan and gran in contempt.

Anyway, on the subject of comic pics and elderly people - still one of our greatest comics, the great and late Buster Merryfield.
