Kilroy was on this morning getting very hot under the collar about most mosques not letting female muslims attend. He made much of the importance of equality legislation.
Seems to me that this is just the sort of thing that members of a particular religion could be left to sort out for themselves - i.e. a good example of where people should have maximum 'independence'. |

I don't suppose he mentioned the EU at all (which is what he was elected to do)? Probably not. He never bothered when he last on Question Time before Christmas.
I do not know if Kilroy should necessarily be commenting about the specific internal workings of a religion which is not his. |

Disgraceful.
I wonder if anyone reading this can recall Kilroy in his 17 years as a Labour MP saying anything against the EEC/EU. He did, to be fair, do one or two programmes about the EU when he was on the television in the mornings (before becoming an MEP) in which he allowed eurosceptics the same amount of time as pro-EU people. Which is more than certain other presenters on television and radio (particularly in the biased pro-EU BBC) do. If he is saying things against the EU and speaking against the EU here and in Brussels it is not being reported very much. And, unless I am mistaken, Kilroy still does not appear to have his own up-to-date website. |

I heard it this morning. I thought Kilroy was sounding very illiberal. He has a point, but he destroyed it in seconds. He sounded belligerent and noisy. He made allegations against mosques which were general and not specific. He said all religions were fairy tales. That's his right. But he won't get the answers by being so politically inept. Frankly, UKIP and Veritas are better off without him.

http://www.europarl.europa.eu/news/p...tm?redirection you can see how many Written & oral Questions have been asked by all the UK MEPs. 513 by Kilroy - Silk, I wouldn't be surprised if he has written or questioned oraly more times than ALL the UKIP MEPs together :!:  |

I don't really like Kilroy-Silk the man, but I like Kilroy-Silk the politician. Not sure if that makes much sense, but I suppose it's like saying I don't like an actor or musician as a person, but like their work/films/music. |
