Default One London website is good

I agree with Tom that the One London website is good.

I also think that the One London members of the London Assembly are asking the right questions and maintaining their opposition to the EU.

Or not.

I notice that the One London party website is now unobtainable, and their blog hasn't been updated since before the London Assembly elections, in which as Wikipedia says:

Quote:
The party received just 0.14% of the London-wide list vote, coming last in overall votes and losing both its Assembly seats.
They had a few talented people, too. What a waste.

Did they even put up a fight? Did anyone see any evidence (apart from the aborted mayoral bid) of a campaign by One London to hold their seats?

They were on the ballot paper, but I didn't see any sign of any campaign activity.

I did read one brief newspaper item about them a few weeks before the poll. It said that they didn't have the resources for much campaigning, but that they were emailing in all the various groups they had worked with as Assembly Members over the previous four years. Apparently they hoped that might do the trick.

Think how hard it is to get London Assembly members elected. Think how easy it is to throw that away.

They should now be called nONE LONDON.

Wheras the hardworking UKIP MEP's walk away with a pension for life far in excess of £25K, massive expenses claimable before they leave and a very decent salary for the time they are MEP's, plus various attendance allowances.

Neither is right. But for a virulent UKIP supporter to criticise one london while 'his' MEP's continually brag about the money they make is, to say the least, a bit rich!

No, not 'our' MEP's because 'our' is inclusive, and I do not view UKIP's MEP's as in anyway representing me or doing our country any favours. Hence the use of 'his' to indicate MEP's of the party to which he belongs.

And yes, it is (ignoring the pun) only the unwise ones bragging. More fool they.
