Default Goodbye

I have been a regular poster on this forum and used to find it informative and a bit of fun. However, over the past few months the tone of the postings has become more and more bitter, twisted and anti-UKIP and definitely anti Nigel Farage.

The latest attempt to stir up trouble is the post regarding the alledged replacement of Regional Chairmen. This was the final straw for me and I will not be posting on this forum anymore. I will leave that to those who seek to damage UKIP with their sad, twisted little vendettas.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

I'd have said the opposite in general - less twisted, less anti-UKIP, more supportive of Nigel Farage.

I agree with you eublues the Nigel bating has eased off, because the stirrers look a bit out of place now with the good publicity Nigel has brought the party!

Tamashi misses the point. We want a radical thinking pro democracy anti authoritarian alternative party to be effective in punching above its weight in getting into positions of influence when it can ( eg by being elected) and frightening the cosy complacent extablishment consensus parties into doing what they should be doing when it cant. ( eg by high votes and exposing stich ups. The reality is that warts and all UKIP is the most effective vehicle for that . " Anti UKIP anti Nigel" is mostly not anti but merely people expressing frustration at opportunities missed or putting ideas to make UKIP more effective in tools in connecting with the public and challenging the establishment . ( Be honest it has a long way to go on that to do what is obviously needed and the test will be local elections) . On top of that is the fear expressed that some UKIP MEPs have become complacent like all MEPs from other parties are cosy in their well paid glamorous world , and need to be dragged back to driving forward and using their ample paid resources to driving forward impact hetre eg in a UK role portfolio. Even Nigel is open in saying UKIP is a vehicle not the purpose . Other patrties see the "party" as the end, with policies to be corrupted and pragmatically reversed to do anything in the interests of the "party" ( or power ) as Tony has shown .

In this context robust "criticism " ( not idle sneers with no suggestion) of UKIP on this forum should be welcomed.
