Default Contact Del Young for youth movement interest

Young, youth, get it.

Quote:
The National Executive is keen to establish a youth wing of party members. To make a start, Del Young is collecting names of those who may be interested, with an upper age limit of perhaps 27. If you would consider becoming involved, please email delyoung@ukip.org with your contact details, also quoting UKIP membership number and/or address.

Bearing in mind pre election promises this should have been launched at min cost ( eg web site appeals) immediately after September leadership elections to penetrate college fresher weeks and so that by now a network of young members is well established to take a key role in local elections and developing messages/leaflets targeting young people, and a key UKIP credibility role in a campaign against the EU propaganda pack in schools, and ROs having a key role in organising regional youthkip effectively . Why has it been held back ?

All credit to Del for on his own breaking the impasse/lethargy outside the system. In the little time left before local elections response needs to be sifted by county and contacts distibited to county organisers or key active branches that can co ordinate mentor and encourage young members into initiative s oldies will look ridiculous in . However raise age limit to 32 ish to tap into vibrant radical thinking dissolusioned defectors from other parties.

Is Del allowed to be a member of the youth movement?

I'd say raise it to 40 if you want vibrant young enough mature minds and raising the limit to 40 would help to make the youth wing large enough to have any effect. Keep the age limit too young and you'll end up with too many nerds!

Anyone under 60 brings the average age down, maybe it should be a "young in heart kip" . The idea of raising it to 40 makes sense to balance innocent enthusiasm with some experience, but UKIP must learn to welcome and handle positively young impatient enthusiasm . If Al Q can do it why cant UKIP do it ?. Send em to blow up the doors in EU Kremlin Brussels while oldies sit back with a G&T.
