Did you notice how when he pre-empted them by saying 'you'll criticise me for mentioning Europe' they started protesting innocence? I thought Iain Dale was rather amateurish in ganging up with the other Tory against DCB during that part. He should be as impartial as possible, but his hatred of UKIP stopped him being so, IMO. |

DCB almost comes from the Knapman school of chilled out (IE you wonder if he is still breathing at times), but he is a lot sharper in his replies, thus can be very useful for UKIP. He is best on the radio for me, as his voice and manner seem to suit that medium, but he did a good job here.
The careerists in Blue Labour are getting very agitated at the moment. I love it.

Mr. Campbell-Bannerman was very good the last time he appeared on national television live. It was at about 5 am on the overnight BBC 1/News 24 joint coverage of last May's local election results coverage.
He was pleasant and calm and, in response to the point that UKIP has won only one local council seat, pointed out that 2007 would be a stronger year for UKIP because local elections would be held in the south-west (of England) which was a good area for the party. I thought it good of Mr. Campbell-Bannerman to make himself available for a live BBC interview at that time of the morning on what must have been a busy night for him with the party contesting a fair number of seats up and down the land. |
