The UK Independence Party is the only political party in Britain calling for an immediate building programme of nuclear power stations to replace those coming to the end of their life.

"How many vulnerable pensioners and the needy would be at risk if there was a sustained and severe failure of supply because of government and EU incompetence and inactivity?" Mr Bloom demanded.

When the energy crisis does happen, the first people who should be disconnected are the ecofascists.

They'll have long since flown out of the country - well before the full effects of the mess they've created are fully realised.
