These Lords are naive.

Firstly, UKIP is not a political party, as it hasn't published a manifesto.

Secondly, UKIP is deliberately understating the threat that the EU is.

Lastly, Nigel Farage has said he wants to liberate our nation by doubling the number of our MEPs.

He knows he's lying: the sham EU parliament is a grotesque parliament, and it cannot therefore liberate us - we can be freed from the EU only by Westminster

Obviously never been to www.ukip.org or read any of the numerous Manifestos UKIP has produced, each one being more comprehensive than the last!

Well that's first! Never been accused of UNDERSTATING the threat from the EU. PatrioticBriton has obviously never been to a public meeting where UKIP is represented. Locally whenever our Chairman gets up to speak then you can be sure some Lib-Dim in the audience will make a crack about "Here we go, it’s all the fault of the EU"

Yes, that means replacing UK Lib-Dim, Tory and Labour MEP's with UKIP MEPs. Thereby giving UKIP a bigger voice, more elected representation and more financial support.

At last something we can agree on. Only Westminster can do this, but until we have representation in the House of Commons we have no voice there. Building up the party by getting more members, more local councillors and more MEP's will not get our country back on their own, BUT they are all stepping stones towards getting UKIP MPs elected.

Did you somehow miss these documents?
http://ukip.org/index.php?page=manif...=manifesto2005
Our website doesn't make them that clear but they can be found by a careful eye which knows what to look for. Not to mention the fantastic policy documents which are beginning to be developed. If we were a pressure group surely we would have none?

Like the Tories were with "In Europe but not Run by Europe?" UKIP are the only party taking that threat seriously. The other parties treat it at face value as a non issue. We're considered a single issue party because we "won't shut up about Europe." I think UKIP are getting it right about the exposure of the EU at the moment, a healthy level which will remove the single issue tag whilst getting the highly important message across to the electorate that we need to leave promptly.

I wasn't aware of that? I know he has set one of his aims as leader to increase our number of MEPs but I am unaware of him labeling it as our way out of the European Union. That would be nonsense. I believe the reasoning behind this is to get further funding and publicity for the party to help us obtain further Westminster representation and achieve the said aim.

What manifesto? You mean this one? http://www.ukip.org/cgi-bin/axs/ax.p...ifesto2005.pdf

This manifesto is short, and doesn't mention any detailed policy proposals. UKIP says it's going to increase defence spending. BUT HOW IS IT GOING TO SPEND THAT MONEY? BUY MORE TANKS?

UKIP says "we believe we should build more NEPs". OK, but how many? And what about wave-powered electric plants?

I know that UKIP has produced a taxation manifesto, but it will remain a "single-issue" party until it writes a manifesto on every topic: transport, defence, environment, etc. etc. etc. bla bla bla.

Yes, UKIP is understating the threat that the EU is. The only member of UKIP not doing so is David Noakes. Gerard Batten, even though he realises the Spanish-dominated EU wants to weaken us militarily, doesn't realise why the EU is doing so: so that our military is unable to defend Gibraltar and the Falklands.

These two men given their stance on the EU have quite naturally joined UKIP. Of course I regret they did not join my party but that is there choice and I respect them for it. People have to do what their consience tells them to when it comes to politcal decison making. It would be absoultely churlish to do anything other than warmly congratualte UKIP on securing there first HOL representation and I again do so without any reservation.

Your coments seem rather sour.
