I am delighted that their Lordships have joined us ,first because they are particularly good news and have shown great courage in the Lords standing by their principles and have been pillaried for them ,and also because it will be a body- blow to David Cameron who is clearly a two faced twister when it comes to the EU.

Lord Pearson of course is well known, but I hadn't heard of Lord Willoughby de Broke before now. However, I've done a quick Google and its obvious that he is a hard-working and effective parliamentarian (and not just some backwoods aristo whose ancestor lanced a boil on Richard II's nose, or something).

Here is a (rather shocking) recent issue he raised.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...10/nbook10.xml

He sounds like a real asset.

Yes indeed. I know Nigel was controversial with his firm stance on not contesting seats of sitting BOO MPs but now we can all see why he was so forceful on this. Well done Nigel.

And we should extend a very warm welcome to Lord Pearson and de Broke. I look forward to a few more lords joining the group once they see it as a credible groups of substance. I also look forward to seeing perhaps a few of the BOO MPs cross the floor in the commons (or is that too much to ask?)

I think my statement above may have been taken out of context.
I was asking a question as the main site and BBC had at that point not commented.
I think this is great news for UKIP and hopefully more will follow
