Thank you. There were various misleading links on the site!

I was 79% UKIP. Many of the questions however don't give satisfactory alternative answers, and in many cases answers are too long-winded.

If the "UKIP" answer in each case really is UKIP policy then we do need to get policy better sorted out!

[We surely can't just build more roads as the only solution to traffic congestion. What's the problem with higher education students paying something towards their education? etc.]

Sorry, I can see from your later posting, EU Blues, that you have completed the quiz.

The link I give might be useful to others.

Um - it's designed to represent each party's policy.

Four of the parties are in favour of unlimited immigration; only one is against.

The scoring system means that if you choose the Greens' unlimited immigration answer, you still pick up points for the Lib Dems.

If it was just a question the bit in bold should not have been included.

Take out the bits in bold and the questions just might be objective.
Just might.
The idea was to give people an understanding of the rationale behind each policy. Each party's 'solution' is explained in language that reflects the philosophy behind that party.

I wasn't sure whether to remove those bits. If I DO remove them, it makes the quiz less accessible to people who aren't very politically aware.

For example, UKIP support flat tax - but a substantial percentage of the population wouldn't know what flat tax means.

Actually, I think you're right about some of the questions being long-winded. I'll change that in the next draft.

Lack of satisfactory alternative answers? Well, I think that's more of a commentary on the lack of credible policies than on the quiz.

We stood in 8 seats in Sheffield in May; Dore and Fulwood were the worst seats for us by a huge margin. We took 1.5% in Dore IIRC, but got 10% with a paper candidate in a ward on the other side of the city. Not sure whether to stand in Dore again or move to a different seat where we'd take more votes with a total paper candidate - depends on who is willing to stand.

Was 'Prince' Nazeem Hamed - the former boxer who has recently been "held at Her Majesty's Pleasure" - one of those who voted UKIP at Dore (the part of Sheffield he lives in)?

Maybe he'll agree to stand for the party next time  .
