Do you think it is worth having an NEC then?

Does it need someone to sort it out?

Under Nigel it may aswell be scrapped. It serves nil purpose as far as I can see.

Why do you think the party is in such a state?

As a relatively new member I don't know much about its workings yet.

Do you think it is purely financial issues?

It's organisational. Still fairly early days before we know if that will be fixed anytime soon.

Two points

1. Money......NOTHING happens without funding. As you say Trevor had it so his idea went forward.
2. Good ideas.........No shortage of ideas.......but.......see Point 1.

Just look at TV programs like Dragon's Den. Hundreds of ideas all being pitched at four people with money. UKIP is the same, I have lost count of the number of ideas that have been put forward, great ideas, fantastic ideas, but then the big question.....How are you intending to fund this idea? Answer is often, "Hey that's up to UKIP Leadership not me, I just have the idea, some one else has to fund it, organise it and run it"

On this forum before Christmas there was a Thread where UKIP Leadership was criticised for not running full page ads in newspapers read by Tories to encourage them to defect, brilliant idea, but how will these ads be paid for? Lets plaster the country with posters, fantastic idea, who is going to pay to print them and then where are the sites going to be?

I have acquired some Corex Board Posters with a range of messages on the SAY NO Theme from various election campaigns over the past few years. I even have one UPIK UKIP from South Staffs. I'm certain there must be hundreds of these around the country. I've got a poster in my Garden 24/7. Until every single UKIP Member can say the same then maybe we should be using what we've got instead of complaining about what we'd like.

If I went before my Board with a proposal the first question is "How are you proposing to finance this?" and the second question is "What is the payback period?"

Ideas are easy. Implementation is more of a problem unless you have the people and the resources to do it. Finance is the KEY. Ideas are useless without MONEY. Come up with fund raising ideas and you might find the UKIP "Leadership" are more inclined to listen. Any fool can spend other people's money; it's much harder to make it than spend it. Which actually is the basic problem with Government, they are spending other people's money which they haven't had to earn, they just take what they want and we have to pay.

Leadership has to pick out the best and most pratical ideas and fund them with the money the party raises.

That is what leadership is for.

Well, this proposal has its source of funding.

The idea being that volunteers print their own posters and put them up in their free time.

Try gensec@ukip.org - I believe that is the General Secretaries email address (don't know who the current Gen Sec is though [Piers Merchant{?}]).
