There is a major potential problem here of enthusiastic amateurs creating chaos and the overall impression of a bunch of amateurs presented to the electorate.

UKIP is a registered logo and permission has to be obtained for usage.

Just like standing in elections, the candidate, the logo and the party name has to have approval for use.

Previously suggested here that Branch / RO approval is sought. Good advice.

Or here's a crazy idea - the Party could create such poster proofs and make them available for branches/individuals to reproduce and distribute.

They don't respond to my emails before.

Anthony tried to go via the offical route and even got elected onto the NEC.

What happened from there? He was treated like the enemy, smeared, rubished and called a trouble maker.

This is all old news. We have been trying to get things like this done for years. Anthony even set up a website called UKIP resources for stuff like this.

Would the leadership pormote this and take it on? Would they hell.

The organisation of this party is still a shambles and still shows no sign of getting better.

I don't know what more any member can do.

You don't have to be on the NEC to have ideas and put them forward.

The highly successful billboard poster and support door to door leafleting started with one member's idea. Rejected initially by the NEC and despite then objection from NF got the go ahead as a pilot in the South West with the full support of UKIP SWCC.

I am fully supportive of UKIP poster activity just against ad hoc unco-ordinated posters. Some of your poster proposal designs I consider to be excellent and suggest that you approach your Counties Committee and also, I think, either Adrian Lithgow or maybe an MEP (UKIP !).

From earlier posts here it is evident a lack of experience prominates. You do not take copy / figures down over the telephone, for example, and regardless of hurt feelings copy prior to publication should be preferably proofed by some-one other than the originator.

UKIP logo etc etc are registered marks and need approval for usage.

The co-ordinated effort is producing results, membership in the South West is up for three months in a row.

I post my ideas here just as that, ideas. If people like them, then they are welcome to take them, use them or submit them to the party if they think they are good.

I don't know if they are good or not, they are just my ideas.

I have submitted various things and ideas to official sources before and I get a polite knob off usually.

Trevor was fortunate that his idea took off in his region and that he had the time, money and contacts to promote it. I believe this is the reason UKIP have gained members of late and I fully back that sort of thing, even if it does continue to make UKIP look a bit like an EU pressure group, rather than a party providing the positive version of Britain it would provide.

That's my biggest problem with UKIP. It doesn't know what it really is and is poorly organised at doing both. It's punching below it's wait and if I was the chairman of the party, I would have peopel scouring the internet and places liek this for good ideas and people to implement them.

I don't think the very top really trusts people enough to do this.

I will write to the party asking them if we have permission to do so.

Though I am 99% sure they will shoot themselves in the foot and decline.

mpkdavies, you really need to be on the NEC!

No I don't. It would be the biggest waste of life ever.

The NEC is all but dead. It has no relevance anymore.
