It's unusual, I think, to see a discussion of UKIP on a non-politics oriented forum and they with the exception of BNP supporter formreader (who says he is a former UKIP member) seem quite sympathetic to the party. Interesting to me is the suggestion about voting UKIP in local elections (and I'll presume also European elections) but still voting Tory in the general election. If anything is worth taking from that comment I would think that is UKIP needs to be a credible party of local governance so that voters do not consider voting UKIP at a general election to be a wasted vote. UKIP does, of course, usually get a higher % vote in the fewish local elections contested than in general election contests.
