Anyway, welcome back ED.

That sounds plausible as there are various names that are ineligible under the legislation, including (bizarrely) the 'None of the Above Party'.

I've got a feeling that the 'None of the Above' party may have been prohibited from securing registration because it could attract about ten million votes   .

Carefull Alex!

Thin end of the wedge and all that.

You can't be suggesting you're in favour of the control freaks in the leadership cabal imposing things like this.

Every member would need to be consulted on any change to Logo or colours, probably via a full debate at the next Conference. After this every suggestion would have to be included into the final mix. If you didn't include everyone's personnal favourite then you'd have people leaving the party in protest and if any discipline was imposed then even more would leave.

Default RESIGNATIONS PUT LOCAL UKIP IN TURMOIL (SOUTHEND)

I do understand the problems that Brian Lee and Ken Bennett had with the leadership, but to desert their loyal members in this way is treasonable. To join the English Democrats who stand pointlessly against UKIP in some seats is unforgivable. For the EDs to stand against the Party that is now making serious progress on the Political scene, brings their true motive into question, and for Brian and Ken to join them leads one to question their real agenda.
I have been in touch with the branch, their is no 'Turmoil' in UKIP there, but I would imagine that Brian's and Ken's consciences will be in turmoil for a long time.

Well said Martin. We all know UKIP ain't perfect but why jump ship as the tide is turning we're winning the arguments AND gaining incredible publicity. We are still the only show in town. All those who have left are in no man's land and stifled.I questioned Brian Lee's judgement when he said that all that was required of a party treasurer was to know the price of a loaf of bread.Sadly he's a loaf short of a picnic.

Why on earth do you lot want to change the name of the party? It's taken years to get people to recognise the brand name, now you want to change the name thinking it will win more votes  I can just see "Joe Public" saying to his missus "Jill" "'ear I see UKIPs changed It's name, they must be good if they can do that! Lets vote for them"!
