BBC World gave a much extended slot on its news programme as reported by one of our branch members who saw it in Udaipur in India where he is spending Christmas.

It would have been nice for the BBC to broadcast this report in an edition of their BBC 1 Television 10 pm news when the audience would have been larger (i.e. perhaps a week or two ago) but they may have thought that the report would have more impact being shown much closer to the date on which Romania enters the EU (with Bulgaria) on 1.1.2007.
When did he go? I thought it was this week.

Default 10 points the BBC will try to ignore re: EU expansion

Just look at the language he uses. There is NOTHING sceptical about him. He has nothing but contempt for UKIP and that is not hard to see.
I brought up the subject of Mark Mardell's reporting a while back on the forum - some people thought he was fair in his reporting then (about the UKIP bus touring europe following the path of an EU Commissioner on her travels promoting the EU). Others (including me) pointed out that Mark Mardell has previously been negative about UKIP.

What we have to watch for is that, having given UKIP three minutes of coverage on last night's 10 pm news on BBC 1 Television, the pro-EU BBC now goes overboard in providing ten-times as much pro-immigration coverage next week regarding the entry of Romania and Bulgaria into the EU.

It could be argued that they (the BBC) have given UKIP this coverage now to neutralise the party and 'get them out of the way first' so that when the big event takes place on 1.1.2007 - Bulgaria and Romania coming into the EU - they'll get less criticism of their biased pro-EU expansion coverage from a UKIP grateful for having got several minutes on last night's BBC news.

Let's all watch BBC news bulletins (and news broadcasts from other television services) after Christmas and see how many times they:

1. Mention the cost to UK taxpayers of Bulgarian and Romania entering the EU - a cost which will include having to pay all east europeans full British state benefits if they work for 12 consecutive months in the UK and then end up jobless.

2. Mention the fact that we (the UK) will lose several seats in the EU 'Parliament' as a result of EU expansion on 1.1.2007 (some of our seats in Brussels will be given to Romania and Bulgaria).

3. Mention that although the Blair Government says about 20, 000 will come here (from Bulgaria and Romania) many more will come here as self-employed 'workers' (and can't be prevented from coming in) and that the Labour Government forecast over 20, 000 coming in could be wrong because they were 90% wrong in their original claim that 8000 - 13000 would come to the UK from places like Poland in 2004 (over 300, 000 came to the UK during the first twelve months their nations were in the EU).

4. Mention that Bulgaria has a crime/corruption problem which could be exported into the UK.

5. Mention that many people in Moldova (a nation not in the EU) are entitled to Romanian passports (which will give them entry into the UK) and have wasted no time in trying to 'buy' them.

6. Mention that communists are still active in politics in large numbers in Romania and some could get elected to the EU 'Parliament'.

7. Mention that both Bulgaria and Romania will be a drain on the EU budget and will cost the EU far more than they put into it financially and that when future EU budgets are decided, the Governments of both Bulgaria and Romania will join all the other med. and southern and south-eastern EU nations in putting further pressure on the UK to give even more money to the EU.

8. Mention the fact that the EU ignored a report it commissioned and paid for itself in which an official who was sent to Bulgaria to study the crime level and to assertain if the nation was fit to join the EU in 2007 reported that it most definitely was not fit to enter the EU.

9. Mention that farming (food) imports from both Bulgaria and Romania will undercut the prices of locally produced food in the UK putting some small farms out of business in the UK.

10. Mention the hypocrisy of the EU that it is letting both Bulgaria and Romania into the EU when it knows full well that neither nation is prepared for entry; they they aren't meeting most of the 101, 000 EU Directives, rules, regulations and statutes; that they can't meet them and that they don't have any intention of meeting them anyway - but that the EU still takes the first opportunity to take legal action against the UK (one of the biggest financial contributors to the UK) on the rare occasions it (the EU) finds that its rules have not been met by the UK.

The BBC and other broadcasters are most unlikely to mention ANY of the above. There's just the possibiity that reporters may touch on the immigration issue - but only briefly and it will not explained in detail.

It should be possible to tell within days what the size of the influx to the UK from Bulgaria and Romania is. The Daily Mail has already said that over a 1000 a day are already arrriving on coaches at London Victoria from eastern europe (plus others coming in on trains through the Channel Tunnel and budget flights).

I suspect large parts of the press and certainly the Blair Government and its europhile friends in the BBC will do their best to ignore the immigration issue (regarding Bulgaria/Romania) in the New Year.

But the Daily Express can probably be relied upon (to report accurately the size and extent of the problem of the unwanted mass influx from eastern europe to the UK) and is the 'paper to buy if you want to find out the truth about the influx that awaits us from the time the power-hungry EU expands into south-eastern europe on 1.1.2007.

The interview needs putting on YouTube to enable more to watch it.

I think BBC News would still get 4-5m on a Friday before Christmas.

Regarding Mark Mardell i have it on good authority that he is very open towards UKIPs position.

I understand he was jumping at the chance to incorporat ethe ind/dem plan d bus in one of his news pieces. I have also heard that while he probably has not voted UKIP "that's not to say he never would".

I think Mark has to be careful that he balances things for his bosses and he might be over compensating for his own personal bias?!

Another one carrying out a balancing act,but for who?

Themselves, or us?

If he's for or against UKIP he should say so.

Plain speaking is no longer the norm these days, too bad.

BBC News 24 had a different clip on this, but the big news today is the Sunday Express has a 2 page spread, with another 2 page spread to come which is very positive towards the UKIP.

Is UKIP getting a media cheerleader at last?

The reason for this coverage is because of the hard work in the press office and the building up of contacts. Praise has to go to Clive Page who basically orchestrated the entire Romania visit and got the BBC along.

I called up the Sunday Express.

That's how it works. You work at it. The media is under no obligation.

In a UKIP Press Release dated 24-07-2006 - Immigration: All spin and no action

Our Leader Nigel Farage warned that: ..."Of more concern to the Home Office should be the influx of immigrants from Bulgaria and Romania, who are due to join the EU in January 2007. A leaked memo showed that around 45,000 heading for the UK are criminals."

Thats right 45,000 criminal scum will be coming to the UK from Bulgaria and Romania. I think this fact should be publicised more by UKIP to wake up the British public of the tide of criminal filth that is heading for Britian.

Only UKIP has the balls to tell the truth.
