You should. You should also take care about accusing one person of having an ego and then saying you don't care whether another person does or doesn't. A bit hypocritical.
Its not hypocritical SGK.
I said the reason he posted it here is to help his own ego.
The other person doesnt post here.

If NF has been banned from this forum - I think he should be given permission to reply!

Anthony, he has opened this forum up to libel charges: I know that the party solicitor has already been contacted on a least one point of libel.

Whoever runs this forum -- you? -- should be worried about this. The reason that it was a very stupid thing to do is that, had the letter remained between him and NF (as good manners, apart from anything else, would dictate), then it is unlikely that anyone would be considering action.

Had he not posted the letter on this forum, and thus had it leaked onto blogs, a simple suppressing action could have been taken.

As I said, the whole exercise is vain and petulant in the extreme and does nobody any favours; not Marcus, not the party, not this forum and not the EUsceptic cause. If you don't like the way that the party is run: fine, leave. And shut up about it.

Personally, nothing could demonstrate to me more graphically the total shambles that this party is in. UKIP needs to look more professional to win both votes and donors, and it therefore needs strong leadership. If you disagree with that leadership, either leave (quietly) or knuckle down and help the party to its full potential. This is politics for heaven's sake, not playground patticake.

Now, I don't really care about people's personal grievances: if Marcus feels that strongly about it, I suggest that he goes and gets some counselling.

So in your opinion, what is the alternative?
I don't have one unfortunately, but that doesn't mean that I will continue to support something I consider to be just as bad as the big three. I might as well be in the Tories if I am going to take the attitude that I can ignore the corruption that I have witnessed.

I do understand your side of things, I just get fed up with people being attacked for voicing their opinions, and the somewhat bizarre tribalism of being "real members" (no offence intended, Hartlepool).

Most people here want the same thing, we just don't necessarily agree on what the best route for that is.

I think people don't like having their sand castles kicked over by the kid who has left the gang. Can you blame them for that?

I can't.

I would have advised to just ignore the letter however, as none of this rally helps anyone or anything other than the old parties.

I said that I wouldn't get drawn into these kinds of discussions about UKIP, so I apologise. I don't want to become a bitter ex-member, and I don't want to get into endless squabbles about it. I will leave this thread on a "let's be nicer to each other" note, which is all I really wanted to say in the first place.

If someone does feel they have been very badly treated, it is important that they do express those feelings or they will need counselling.

No one expects NF to write a concillitory letter or make any attempt to resolve the issue - it's not his style.

Given that MS now believes UKIP is harming the anti EU cause - what is he supposed to do?

Nothing gets removed unless it is offensive, spamming or libellous. I haven't received any formal complaints yet.

We have certainly NEVER removed anything for political expediency. Free speech is free speech.
