SGK,
Good points all and I admit that the last paragraph or so was misjudged: apologies. I am aware that people on this forum are not UKIP members; however, I thought that, if I were to defend the party (of which I am a relatively new member), then the UKIP General Issues section might be the best place to start. You don't feel that the party serves your needs and you are allowed to attack them on this forum: fine. I, equally, am allowed to defend them, no? My real issue was that the letter was extremely badly written and included neither specific allegations nor any evidence. Admittedly, I come from that perverse area of blogging where we do rather like to back up our assertions with data, but there you go. Frankly, the letter reminded me rather of one of Greg Lance-Watkins's loony rants that he sents around an email list from time to time: the wild allegations, lack of proof and confused English are very similar. DK

I personally do not, as yet, feel a great need to attack the party and understand why a great many still see the party as the best chance of EU withdrawal. It is only quite recently that I have shifted from 'waiting for the party to get its act together' to 'we'd stand a better chance without it'. As a general rule I try to keep out of the UKIP section as a matter of decency, not being a member, though jump in occasionally if I feel it's appropriate. I only post here on the basis that it is an open forum supporting EU withdrawal, independence and small government. I was on the verge of leaving it during the party leadership elections and would probably have done so had the result been different. As it is I feel comfortable as a non-member. Quote:

Really not a member. Just being silly. I suppose a lot of posts come across to me as assuming this is a UKIP forum and I must feel the need to state my position. I'll try to stop it.
By the way, you left and came back, didn't you? Are you happy with the direction/way things are shaping up? |

I am now, with NF dragging us into the political daylight.
Although,I voted for DCB after Del fell out. Glad to say they are both still in there but DCB is cabal and I ignored many warnings regards that. Best thing is Del is still there, maybe if he was gone as well from the NEC things might deteriorate. Or not, anyway,I still reserve the right to remove myself from the party anytime I wish to. I wouldn't be making a post about it on here though. ![]() |

But to help you keep up, these are the current headlines:- - Anthony is a tory plant. - Matt is a CIA operative maintaining fake stories of conspiracy to deflect from the real conspiracies. - B A Ware is a drag queen - I'm an undercover BNP operative. Stick around, more terrible truths may be uncovered........ |
