SGK - the graphics are only used because I'm not actually going to go a and hire actors play British and EU troops for a demo vid.
As for the strategy of it - it's a metaphor. We ARE being invaded by the EU - if you showed it in literal terms, that's what you'd get.

Hmm, you've not actually answered my questions though. Graphics or real actors is irrelevant really. I think you will find it hard to hold on to the argument that we are being invaded, even metaphorically, when the opposition gets hold of it.
mkpdavies, I understand that people respond to different methods, styles, stimuli, etc. which is what I think you are saying, but surely 1) the message needs to stay rock solid the same regardless of medium and 2) it doesn't really answer my question 'do teenagers really want to be spoken down to?' |

Very difficult to please all of the people, all of the time. Consistant message, but then you have to taylor it to your target audience AND keep in mind how it will be misused. Even being straight and sensible can be a disadvantage in some quarters.

Hello all,
Im 16 at I take some offence to being branded a "nerd" because I show an active interest in politics. I play rugby at district level, I love to have a good time with friends, I have hard labour job at a Warehouse and I am certainly not a nerd when it comes to school work. I cannot simply just sit back and watch all the terrible things going on around the country, thats why I take an active interest in Politics and more importantly the only common sense party - UKIP. I also agree with the earlier point of UKIP not really knowing what to do with us. I have plenty to suggest in order to engage younger members. A few of us raised the point of the website being re designed - nothing has happened at all. |

Yes indeed: Craftsmen are being sought by the metalsmith's aide as we speak to produce a new and even shiner precious (if that is possible), for a Jan(?) launch... :P
We intend to take a well earned holiday abroad... :wink: |

A few comments;
1. Please, no more "EU invasion" stuff, it looks crazy and puts people off. Try to speak moderate, soft language AND not sound mad. 2. UKIP needs a youth wing, but is too small at the moment to attract enough students (when, say, ConservativeFuture is big on campus and offers trips, parties etc). The best answer is an 'Independence Society', a non-party but anti-eu club for people from all parties. It can then be launched nationwide far easier, and largely serve UKIP through members organising campaigning etc through contacts with UKIP. Sort of an arms reach UKIP Youth. It would get many members, wheras a specific UKIP Youth organisation wouldn't as it is in too much direct competition with the bigger, established and funded ConservativeFuture. |
