...and in view of the fact that the panel on the platform had previously repeatedly stated that they could not see into the hall because of the glare of the lights directed at the platform it was surprising that the Chairman of this specific part of the meeting stated that this was 'overwhelmingly' carried on the show of the hands.

In fact the hands were so close, for v against, that the surprising thing was that an actual count was not called, in particular regarding the above and in view of the nature of the prospective appointment.

Obviously my error. From another post/topic I thought that you had stayed with the (alledged) rowdy ones in the b & b. However my previous post will therefore be more fully informative than my initial reply, both being accurate.
