It would be bad publicity if it was held somewhere difficult for people to get to just to get TV cameras present. It would be bad publicity for UKIP when the cameras scanned the hall and found there were very few people there!

If the media think there is something worthwhile for them, they will go. If the members think there is something worthwhile for them they will go.

Seaside places are good because you at least have promenades where you can go before or after the various sessions. Easy/cheap travel has to be a serious consideration.

I agree that Sunday travel by train can be awful.
