Default Nigel on the radio thurs 10pm

Don't miss our newly elected leader Nigel Farage on the James Whale Radio show.

You can tune in to 1089 AM at 10.0pm on Thursday night.

The station is called Talk Sport which is footy all day until 10.0pm when James Whale takes over so this should be a good political debate.

(James Whale is venehmently against the EU but isn't enamered with UKIP - if Nigel can win him over this will be a MASSIVE plus for the party).

(I also suggest you listen to John Gaunt who is on at 10 am each morning - anti EU - anti lib/lab/con - anti PC and another that we need to get onside).

Default Mr. James Whale - not a fan of the EU

TalkSport radio is also available via the television set-top box ('Freeview' channel 94).

James Whale is not only eurosceptic - he wants Cameron out and a new pro-sovereignty leader of the Conservative Party installed.

I believe Mr. Whale's programme gets the highest audience of any radio broadcast on UK radio at that time of the evening/early morning.

The James Whale programme is on air for three hours (from 10 pm) on Monday - Thursday evenings (he also does one on Sunday afternoons). I don't suppose anyone knows exactly what time Mr. Farage is to be interviewed (by James Whale) on 19.10.2006?

James Whale stopped doing Sunday afternoons some time ago, but he's recently started 10pm till 1am on Sundays as well as Mon- Thurs.

I'm just waiting for a day to come when someone actually bothers researching Farage's past properly and brings up issues like the squandered Ashford call centre money. That would do enough to contribute to his inevitable downfall.

Jon Gaunt does our cause no favours at all. He is a bigoted, inarticulate prat who just plays up to "white van man".

Jon Gaunt wrote a very good article attacking waste at the biased pro-EU BBC after he left it (he was a presenter on the low audience, leftist BBC London). I think he writes a column for the 'Sun' as well as doing TalkSport on weekday mornings.

I wasn't aware that Mr. Whale was no longer on air on Sunday afternoons but did hear him on Sunday of this week doing the late 'show' on TalkSport. I just thought he was covering for someone else.

I am pleased he's on on Sunday nights and will aim to listen.

The most anti-EU of the TalkSport radio presenters was Charlie Wolff, the North American, who so dislikes David Cameron he wrote to his local Conservative association Chairman at Finchley (north London) earlier this year to say he won't be voting Conservative again until Cameron goes (except as a tool to remove the europhile Livingstone in the London Mayoral election in 2008).

However, Mr. Wolff has suddenly left TalkSport. Does anyone know why? I am curious - and so is a UKIP friend of mine who used to listen to his programme.

Right, so that's 10 pm today for 10.10 pm. I'm just about to 'phone to let other anti-EU people know so that they listen too.

If they change the time of the interview and it's later in the programme it's still worth staying tuned in to hear it.

Default Wrong AM frequency given

I've just looked at the official UKIP website and notice that they appear to have listed one of the radio frequencies for Talksport incorrectly. The person who wrote the article about Mr. Farage's interview tonight at 10 pm (on TalkSport Radio) have put down 1089/103 am as the frequencies. It should actually be 1089/1053 am ('AM' being the modern term for medium wave).

They also give the internet address where it is possible to go to in order to listen to TalkSport on the web - but the person who wrote the article doesn't give the 'Freeview' channel number (surely the easiest way for the majority of people at home to listen to TalkSport Radio).

The 'Freeview' set top box channel number for TalkSport is (as I said earlier in this thread) 94. It can also be received over satellite/cable.

The article on the official UKIP website to which I refer can be viewed at:

It`s not the anti-EU people you want to get to listen to this programme, but the non committed, or even the pro EU ones, if only to dishearten their zeal for the EU.

Have you managed to get any 'non-committed' or 'pro-EU' people to agree to listen to Nigel Farage on Talksport Radio tonight, Robin? If you have, share their thoughts about the interview with us all, would you?

I find that many of the 'non-committed' aren't interested in politics and/or current affairs at all and would sooner settle down to watch a film than listen to someone talk about the EU.

As for your reference, Robin, to 'pro-EU' people. Fortunately I have some difficulty in finding anyone that would now actually admit to being 'pro-EU'.
