A GUIDE TO FIGHTING AND WINNING LOCAL ELECTIONS

As Nigel as our new leader appears to be serious in fighting local elections - and having fought and campaigned extensively in local elections for the past 20 years - its time I put my money where my mouth is. I plan to spend the next month or so writing a campaign guide that UKIP branches and members can use. I will send my rough draft to Stephen Allison and will be up to him and UKIP HQ to decide what they do to it. It will have chapters on the importance of campaigning all year round, importance of knocking on doors and talking to people, postal voting etc etc... Basically it will be an idiots guide to local campaigning.

If anybody wants to make a request on what they would want included let me know.

Given the way some submissions have ended up in the past, suggest you chat to Steve Allinson first - if someone's already working on something, no point in duplicating effort :-)

It wont be 'the' guide - just my thoughts and ideas - they can either take on board or chuck in the bin.

Simple things like canvassing, postal voting, effective leaflets etc...

Will post snippets on here in a month or so to show what I am compiling! As I said either adopt some of the ideas if they are useful or chuck in the bin. Its not 'the' guide for campaigning - just my ideas and ramblings.

Simple things like canvassing - what to say.

Telephone canvassing - script to use.

How to promote UKIP local as effective and succesful at a local level.

Targetting electors etc etc...
