Default leaving........

Only once in my life have I closed a bank account and moved to another provider. In my opinion, the bank missed a trick as there was no follow up, no contact to ask why i had moved or similar.

When a worker leaves our company - we have an exit procedure which includes a discussion with a neutral third party on why they are leaving. This provides valuable data which helps in the long term with staff retention.

But UKIP seems like the bank, not the company. Has anyone here who has left UKIP ever been contacted by UKIP with a view to finding out what it was that caused you to leave?

I ask because I asked my RO to remove me from his mailing list. The reply was basically "OK - I forgot". No 'sorry you are going (but they probably aren't anyway!) or any enquiry as to the reasons why.

For the future, I strongly suggest UKIP has a leaver follow up process.

The Tory party failed to contact me when my membership ran out. Their loss. I imagine all parties do it.
That a party with as small a membership as UKIP does it seems a bit dim, IMO.

I think it would be pointless asking why you left yo have made it public.Think how much time has been taken up just reading the resignation letters of Richardski and Simon.

Michael - Iwas suggesting the general case not the specific.

However,if indeed I have made it clear why I have left UKIP please feel free to quote.

Why leave it at ex-members. How about a survey now and then to see how the membership feel about things in general?

Well, you could argue that the survey has been done - it was the election. But no problem doing a survey - easy to do using something like phpsurveyor (great software!) - but this should be an 'as well as' to the exit survey.

I got a phone call from a Female on that nice Mr Farage's behest back in 2001/2 (?) when I lapsed my membership. after the "Christians in UKIP" hassle.

I had been a member from the earlist days of the party.

So it has happened, or was I getting my usual special treatment
