Supberb interview. (and no I didn't vote for Nigel but credit where it is due).
Answered all the questions directly (that's unusual for a politician on this programe) and expanded to adequately cover other areas succiently. Even the interviewer appeared to take UKIP more seriously. Well done Nigel, that should give the LibLabCON something to worry them. |

Huw Edwards (presenter of the Marr programme with Mr. Marr being away) said in his introduction that Lab/Con have had to take UKIP seriously because of the threat it poses in marginal seats.
Mr. Farage (as Colin says above) answered the questioned succinctly. Indeed, he is very skilled at getting as much information as he can into a fairly brief reply. The interview flowed well and Mr. Farage both criticised British Airways for being anti-British (commenting on the news story about their crucifix ban) by taking the UK flag off its tail fins (something it has now reversed) and he claimed that David Davis (Conservative Shadow Home Secretary) had backed the 30-year multi-cultural 'project' which he (according to today's Sunday Telegraph) is now criticising. The rest of the points Mr. Farage made were about 'europe' - including the fact that we cannot control our borders by being in the UK. Mr. Farage said that people told him "Thank goodness there is UKIP - you can't tell the difference between the other parties." |

Don't know how to do that, but it should be on the BBC website shortly after the programme.

The official UKIP website might put up a link to a recording of the interview later. The interview with Mr. Farage (which was only about five minutes long) was part of a series of interviews in which one party leader each week appears on the Marr programme. Is it fair that they should put Barroso on in the same programme as Mr. Farage. And was it deliberate that the UKIP leader was on first - thus giving him no chance to reply to Barroso? Was someone from the opposing side to the other party leaders (interviewed in previous weeks) put up in the same programme - in the way that Barroso is appearing in the same programme as Mr. Farage this morning? It all looks like the biased pro-EU BBC working as normal - against UKIP and other anti-EU people. They only interviewed Mr. Farage because they've got to (having interviewed the other party leaders). |

Despite being put on right at start before the review of the papers I thought it went very well ,with Nigel ,as always, getting in far more points per minute than most politicians.I suppose the timing kept him away from unelected cruiser Barosso in the main end of programme slot.I should imagine many missed it expecting Nigel to have this normal leaders'time slot.

A pro EU bias apparent at the end of the programe with Barosso and Peter Hain on the final settee chat (where was Nigel?) enabling Baroso, supoorted by Hain to make the big EU points.
No-one there to pick up on Barosso comment 'Is the British press aware that we, the EU, give to the peace process in Northern Ireland £40 million per annum" No mention that it costs the UK in contributions to the EU circa £100 million to get the £40 million ! Will the press pick up on that ? Come UKIP Press Office get that point out. |

Baroso did the anti-EU cause the world of good. Hain agreeing with him was just spendid.
What a muppet! This guy is the man running the EU. Britain actually submits to his authority though.
