'A bit of trouble with UKIP Conf. delegation from Keele'

From Celia Walden’s ‘Spy’ column in the Daily Telegraph 11.10.2006:

The UK Independence Party seems to have acquired a troublesome youth wing. “Our party conference in Telford at the weekend went extremely well” says my anti-EU mole.

“But there was a bit of trouble with the delegation from our branch at Keele University. On Saturday morning, three of them were thrown out of the bed and breakfast in which they were staying for rowdy behaviour the previous night :shock: . They were deemed to have been too drunk and too loud at 4 am. Amazingly, they all returned on Sunday for the remaining session.”

"UKIP Keele University delegation beat up old ladies outside conference venue" = VERY BAD publicity.

"UKIP Keele University delegation politely sipped tea with old ladies inside conference venue" = QUITE BAD publicity.

"UKIP Keele University delegation behaved like normal students, had a good time, got ratted and were thrown out of their lodgings the next morning for having made too much noise" = QUITE GOOD publicity.

Agreed! The more we hear about eurosceptic youth, the better - just don't end up like the benighted FCS did (Federation of Tory Students, closed down by Tebbit) :twisted:

Absolutely amazing the hypocrisy of Ukip had you ***** been in the same bed and breakfast with your family and Tory wide boys had been singing and shouting at four in the morning I'm sure you would be posting totally different posts.

Bloody pathetic and says it all about talk the talk.

Bloody unbelievable that anyone condones this behavior, mind you all of you that have wasn't disturbed by it was you.

I hope you never have any responsibilities in life if that is your attitude,have you ever thought you and your wife and your young child might be sharing the same bed and breakfast and you have just given them cart Blanche to carry on regardless.

Don't get me wrong I know some of the people involved the difference is i would have told them to have a good time get ****** but keep it down.
