I have mentioned before that MM seems to specialise in ad-hominem attacks rather than dealing with the facts. However, I will comment that
Quote:
This probably tells you all you need to know about Michael McGough, and the calibre of some of those left in the party. |

Petrina subsequently gave advice to the party stating the de Roeck position was correct. I represented myself with a record of (contested 6 high court cases and won 6) and wiped the floor with the Barristers the party hired. Thankfully those who perpetrated that awful affront to democracy and their supporters have all left and im still here. Nikki |

These ridiculous personality clashes reflect no credit on UKIP whatsoever.
Why don't the parties make up and join forces against the real enemy. We're in pole position to launch a devastating attack on the traitor Cameron and his gang of liars and turncoats. If our key people are fighting like polecats in a sack we can achieve nothing. |

Maybe senior UKIP people should come clean about who they think is the real enemy. Is it the EU/Lib/Lab/Con etc, or is it those anti-EU past and present members of UKIP whom they spend so much time attacking? |

They might actually get more done now that Farage has assumed control and installed a more autocratic system. The four headed monster (NEC/Leader/Chairman/MEPs) running the party was almost designed to cause the maximum possible friction. Since Farage now controls three of them and has already said that he is changing the role of the NEC to oversight (as it always should have been), there will be a lot less scope for arguments at the top. Of course the down side is that the party won't have any real internal democracy or any genuine rules of conduct, and it will be a case of Farage's way or the door. |

Brian, you have always advocated greater democracy in UKIP yet you could never stand up for it. You said at the time of the court case that even if I won it would be pointless, as I would alienate everyone in UKIP. You were wrong. Within 4 months of winning I was made Party Secretary eight months after that given a job again. I have a friendly, good working relationship with all senior UKIP people. I also remember in the 2003 NEC elections when my candidature was severely sabotaged you got less votes than I did! |
