Nikki,

Frankly, that post (and the other thread you started) both demean you.

You may not like Petrina, that's OK, but you and I both know the point GLW was trying to make at the time, and it wasn't seriously advocating murder, no matter how much you and others wish it so.

Meanwhile UKIP is falling apart at the seams. It's getting support from all sorts of odd and unsavoury characters (elsewhere), it's membership has been in near-vertical decline, and all we get apparently from the leadership team are kangaroo courts and silly one-way pacts to let the Tories off the hook.

I couldn't give allegiance to Nigel and his cabal (there, I've actually used the term!), so I've resigned. I still care passionately about UKIP and its future, but serious reform is essential, not the window-dressing Nigel wants, that will keep any darker secrets hidden in the 'stock room'.

UKIP is in crisis, and half the party at least is in denial over it. That doesn't change reality though -- unless the party is reformed a sticky end is forecast. One doesn't have to be a Delphic anything to see that coming.

You sound as though you're about to start defending the indefensible. I thought you, of all people, wouldn't go down that road. After all you're the only person I know who's taken UKIP to court on a point of principle and won.

If you really have now become just a gun-for-hire, then don't expect to go unchallenged. I might be ex-UKIP but my nerve is steady and my aim is straight.

Oh come on Simon,

Im sorry you have left UKIP. Many have before you for years now claiming the party was in terminal decline only to be proven wrong. Just like you will be.

How Petrina can justify sending missives to journalists criticising UKIP is beyond me. She should resign from the party now. PLEASE!

Given that Michael Zuckerman is party secretary-elect, it might have made sense to invite him along - after all, he'll be the one picking up the mess after the next NEC meet...

At the conference Nigel said that Zuckerman was a lawyer, and that the Party Secretary really needed that sort of background to handle tricky things like disciplinary procedures.

I'm sure Mr Zuckerman will do a fine job and it certainly can't do any harm to have someone with legal training as Party Sec, but as usual, Nigel is talking out of a bodily orifice better utilised as something to sit on.

He used a similar excuse to get rid of John de Roeck as treasurer (ie not a chartered accountant). In John de Roeck's era UKIP's Electoral Commission compliance was 100%. Since he was ejected, performance has been at best patchy. By the way, have the 2005 accounts been audited yet? :twisted:

for your information;

I have it from a reliable source was that what actually happened was that having agreed to allow his private office to be used for Peter Baker’s disciplinary hearing Gerard Batten found out only one hour before that Lance-Watkins was to attend. He then instructed Doug Denny and his staff that the pot-bellied, pig-tailed, prat was to be refused access to his premises. Given the non-stop torrent of insults, denigration and lies that UKIP’s deranged stalker sends out on a daily basis this should hardly surprise anyone. Did he think he would be invited in for tea and biscuits? Regarding the toilet jibe, I understand that when Doug Denny asked Mr Batten where Looney-Watkins could give his evidence he suggested that Loopey-Watkins could try and find the nearest public convenience as this would be the most appropriate place for him to do so. Naturally Libel-Watkins has twisted the meaning of this helpful response.
