Apologies if I am grumpy. It is just the result of being lied about once too often. I have felt a great relief since leaving UKIP and I am mellowing again. Politics, or at least UKIP politics, seems to turn decent ordinary people into the very thing that they are fighting against.

I am still idealistic. The problem is that it just isn't compatible with party politics when the density of corrupt people is too high in a party (I mean corrupt in the democratic sense).

I genuinely have no idea what Intbel is talking about. I have never knowingly lied about anything to him or anyone else on this forum. Of course Christina felt that I was lying when I wrote the 'Two Horse Race' article, so Intbel could have picked up anything and touted it as a lie. His unwillingness to provide the 'evidence' demonstrates its weakness though. Interestingly I don't think that I have said anything to him that I haven't said to everyone else here, so whatever he considers a lie, the rest of the forum doesn't. The fact that he also reiterated Moran's lies means that he is voluntarily putting himself in the same bracket.

I don't bear any ill will towards him though - I get the impression that he is just angry and disillusioned like the rest of the activists and looking for someone to blame.

There are terms such as "flogging a dead horse" come to mind at the moment. Moral is so poor, so weak, a fart would set our lot running for shelter. That is the legacy of years of squabling and now he who ""will not have it" is in control! :cry:

Originally my post contained more names and was starting to turn into something like that list of credits they used to show at the end of Dad's Army: "You Have Been Watching..." So I thought it was getting in the wway of the point I was trying to make and trimmed it back a bit for rhetorical reasons. But I should add that the following haven't changed an iota, praises be: B.A.Ware, Hartlepool, Oliver, Spon, and neither (for better or worse) have MikeUK and the rest of the star-studded UKIP cast, and neither (definitely for worse) have... (fill in the names of your least-favourite trolls here), and furthermore I think the forum is hugely enhanced by the presence of Britannist and Independent UKIP, and I'd also like to thank the caterers, the returning officer and the bloke who runs the off-licence at the bottom of my street.

I completely believe you. I strongly suspect that it is down to a misunderstanding, but Intbel seems so convinced of your moral turpitude that he is disinclined to sort it out or explain himself further. A pity, as I believe him to be a good guy, but there ye go, as Father Ted would have said.
