Well that has left me stumped. It is pretty low to accuse someone of lying publicly and not giving them the opportunity to even know what they are being accused of, let alone defend themselves. I have had very little contact with you, so to have lied to you twice is quite an achievement.

I genuinely don't understand why this could be so hard.

If it's a confidential matter why raise it publicly, and if it isn't, why not explain?

I'm not taking anyone's side here, just asking a reasonable question. And, if you want people to believe you, it's no good just shouting 'liar' - you do owe an explanation.
