Get over it and wake up and smell the coffee

Maybe that's the only way it can win.
You have definately taken the Nigel pill

It also so proves something that I wrote some time ago namely, UKIP needs to make sure that prospective leadership candidates should have several years membership behind them, and the party must know a lot more than clearly they did regarding RS. The man's brief political history should be written as an example of how NOT to behave in politics.

If I were Nigel, I'd be more worried about those who work in publicity and used to work for the BBC - all those contacts...

Ahhh, so Roger shouldn't have stood for the leadership, then?

I mentioned this resignation business to my wife who is not a member and doesn't follow events in UKIP closely (e.g. about RS being accused of being a homosexual), and on that she says what is the problem with that accusation - it would do UKIP's image a lot of good.

I must say it does seem rather odd that he refers to this particular accusation as "a base and obscene slur".

He names numerous people (and their unspecified friends) seen as doing him harm by underhand methods, and lists the supposed harms done to him, but fails to specify the harm each has allegedly done, blaming all potentially for everything.

I am prepared to accept that he may have had a bit of unfair treatment, but is his letter not unfair to at least some of these people, so that there is a bit of pot and kettle in all this.

By the manner and timing of their resignations may they be judged.
