The 100 days are unrealistic,300 days are a little short as well, make the time to" produce "400 days and you will be giving a reasonable amount of time for the Leader to show their true path.

Of course, should the Leader make their direction known to us early and it then becomes obvious that they are at opposites with us,then,do as you wish to demonstrate your dissatisfaction with the Leader.

Any new Leader deserves a decent period to prove themselves and their direction for our future.

Anything less than this would be looked on as being undemocratic I think.

That is certainly not the case. If only you knew what really goes on behind the scenes you would never make that kind of dismissive statement.

Those of us who are on the inside already know what Nigel and others are like in terms of management skills, professionalism etc. We don't need the time to judge. Gill has decided that she cannot offer anything positive to the party under a Farage leadership and has chosen to remove herself from the firing line. Would you rather she stayed on for four more years of constant arguing with the leadership?

Gill put a lot of effort into her time on the NEC.

Her resignation coming only two days after the election of NF is odd,I would have thought she would have stayed long enough to see what the final team sheet consisted of,who knows,it may yet be a good or better plan than expected.

I think she resigned too soon, and thus, lets her supporters down when they needed her.

I voted for her and also for AB and others,if,after Mondays NEC Beating you all throw the towel in I will be greatly ******,along with all the rest who voted for you.

What is happening was expected to happen,NF won it,get used to it and Party on.

You must give the new Leader and his team a chance to do their stuff.

Besides, none of us loonies who frequent here have anywhere else to go or support do we?

No I don't agree with that.

If people who have had much more experience of working with Nigel than anyone else, feel they can't "get along", then the best thing they can do is step aside.

It's good for the person themselves and it's good for Nigel, in that he can get a team he has no bad blood with in place.

Hanging in their with simmering bitter resentment won't do anyone any good.

Hanging in there to see what the Leader is doing and putting in his team seems the way to go to me,resigning immediately is just quitting before a ball has been kicked even.

Unless of course,she/others know something we all don't.

She has had personal experience and that's all I need to know to accept her decision.

Hartlepool just ask yourself why there are no minutes from NEC meetings when several NEC members have asked for them to be done.

In any business 100 days should be ample for a vibrant focussed guy like Nigel, not to expect everything sorted, but a business plan to be drawn up and implementation structure set up with a clear framework and key people put in place to build things , a reformed and strengthened centre , a set of timetabled objectives for all to relate to including branches, a newly inspired membership and a coherant start to building UKIP as credible for leading into May elections next year. So progress audit in 100 days please. 3 not 2 things are needed for May, ie credibility.

That's fine if Nigel was going to use your methodology to go about things. We have no idea how he is going to approach it, as he hasn't told us who will be doing the managing side of things yet, nevermind the methods they will deploy.

They may have some sort of duck approach, where all looks calm, even dead on the service, while underneath a furnace of activity is burning away, ready to strike hard at the chosen moment.

That could take at least a year, maybe two before real tangible results of success can be determined.
