BASILDON BOY is just starting out
Default Current Membership

If 45.5% of members voted this would make our current membership something like 16,646 - which means our membership has dropped from 29,000 to 16,646 in just 2 years - a loss of nearly 13,000 members -or about 43%.

What can be done to recruit and retain members so we can be taken seriously as Britains 4th political party?

If we've still got 16000 that's not bad.

Yeah, I mean membership numbers to go up and down, maybe Farage being leader may perk up the numbers again.

It's not as bad as some were saying, but urgent action is required to get it growing again.

Lets get real I give UKIP a few months to realise NIgel will change nothing and then the membership will continue to fall. I hope I'm wrong but wait and see.

If people are giving UKIP the benefit of the doubt now, they should really give him at least a couple of years to prove himself.

The membership have spoken and that's that.

Well. Almost half of them.
I wonder what those who have kept button-lipped really think?

Either

a) Dead, but membership still active.
b) Don't know who they are.
c) Don't care really anymore.
d) Didn't feel informed enough to make a choice.
e) Got delivered to the wrong address.
f) Their vote got lost on the way back.

Personaly I find less than 50% disapointing, but then perhaps I expect too much of people in general.
