Today in the afternoon I helped hold a placard and distribute leaflets aimed at the state of the Scottish Fishing Industry caused by the EU. This was first ever experience of helping UKIP and any other cause for that matter. Whilst there were a few people who agreed, sympathised etc. No one was really that cut up about it, which was commented by one person as "too late mate!"
Now I played my part today and I fully reiterate that peoples views have not changed ever on the majority of topics such as crime, education, health blah blah blah. Media attention is needed and we should be using technology to be our weapon against the other nonsensical political parties. I mentioned skypecasting which is like an interactive talk show using the internet and skype software (which is free - yes costs nothing). The party leaders should be hosting these weekly to get attention on a certain day at a certain time. Also multimedia approches and online video should be adopted! Has anyone seen this: http://www.pentagonstrike.co.uk This is a conspiracy theory type video which may interest or not interest you (this is not my point). Look at the quality of this video and tell me if we were to do the same party political broadcasts showing the truth, that this won't help. That website alone has been viewed by over 500 million people worldwide! Technology along with everything else I have said will bring our message to the couch potato public who are disinterested and disengaged only caring about things not having to make them do any work. If we can have paper voting to save people time then why not spread the word this way. Maybe later there will be online voting, who knows. We should also try to get on TV if possible. Radio is all well and good but it is not gratifying enough to the vast majority of young people who come from the internet and games age. Recently I have seen an attempt by Peter Adams on the UKIPScotland website and I'm glad this is trying to be done but no disrespect intended to my friend Mr Adams but the quality is bloody awful and no wonder the public cannot take us seriously if we do not look professional. Lets find out if there are any marketing specialists and website designers amongst our members and tap into their specialist knowledge. Then we can start to look and feel the way that we and the public expect. I hope that some of you can see the sense in what I am saying and draw hope that all is not lost. Just that we need to stop pussy footing about and take action in a different direction. Kind Regards and Best wishes to all. |

I forgot to mention this too for viewing as it is also good for its media and notice how the music really hits you that is playing in the background it is perhaps subliminal.
http://www.pentagonstrike.co.uk/psychopaths.htm You can download Skype software for free on: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-gb/ All you need is a pc, speakers and a microphone, but I have bought and use a headset so that I am basically hands free. Skypecasts are talked about elsewhere on that site. Hope this helps someone. Now I am reiterating that we should be using technology, I am in no way endorsing these websites. I just like the way they have been presented. |

M some of us have been pushing for dramatic improvements in technology use for a long time. At the moment it is a struggle just to get them to use email, so don't get your hopes up

Point taken, you are both correct. But everyone should try to be positive and not forget that I am correct too, that this is the way to send the parties voice out to the slothful inactive public.
 However, enthusiasm does not do the work! Which is I assume the point that is being raised in response to my posts. |
