Seems fasionable to attack the leader at the moment, for all parties.

{Edit or not as the case may be}

There is a real press release, as follows:-
Unable to compare to the original one on this thread as i can't see it.

Quote:
...meanwhile the Bulgarian Blair sticks his head in the sand.
In a private meeting in Brussels, Bulgarian Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev has denied there will mass migration to Britain.

Speaking at a meeting in Strasbourg, Mr. Stanishev said "do not expect high waves of immigration from Bulgaria...(we are) doing so well economically that professionals will stay in the country".

UKIP MEP Derek Clark said that with an answer like that, it was little wonder that Mr. Stanishev was called the Bulgarian Blair. No-one was expecting an influx of Bulgarian accountants, lawyers or journalists.

"The residents of Notting Hill and Islington can sleep sound in their beds - the professions are safe from Bulgarian immigrants".

"The message is not so good for, unfortunately, for areas like the East Midlands where residents have have seen their jobs taken away by EU migrant workers in the agricultural and service industries. With average wages in Bulgaria of £105 per month, we can expect a further influx of carpenters, plumbers, bricklayers and land workers from a nation so poor that they can afford to undercut the Poles who arrived here after the last round of EU expansion.

That expansion was opposed by only one British party - UKIP.

Mr. Stanishev was questioned by UKIP MEP's at a meeting in Brussels ahead of of Bulgarion accession, amid fears over the number of Bulgarians who will arrive in the UK next year.

Derek Clark commented on the meeting, saying "This man is so desperate for Bulgaria to benefit from EU (British) money that he is prepared to ignore the truth about immigration - rather like the British Government".

The Bulgarian Prime Minister tried to calm fears that upon accession, hoards of migrants who are already queuing at the British embassy will not come to this country.

No attack on Roger from a UKIP MEP then. That's what the complaint was.
