Default Why did David Lott resign??

Could it be that he is Nigel's "chosen one", to be his Chairman and run the Party in the UK?

I don't think so. He's retired, because he is tired.

And that's fair enough.

He was brought out of retirement to run the general election campaign, so I presume that he has just had enough now.

We can thank him for the weekly updates from Brussels about what is going on over there - that was a significant improvement in the level of communication in the party.

Sterile concocted conspiracy thread. Look at his age. He has done his bit & wants to relax. Move on.

HP/Michael - I believe that the position of party chairman should be given to someone who is well known, trusted and well respected in the party - an 'elder statesman' if you like - who would be acceptable to all within the party.

I believe this may well be Richard's position too, however as with Nigel and DCB (I believe) he has not named his Chairman yet.

I share your understanding that Richard's Deputy would be Petrina, who would have a special focus on fundraising. I do not have any clue at this time who the deputy for NF or DCB might be - have you any information?

The truth is that, with regard to a Deputy to DCB,I am unaware of who it will be or who has been nominated.

I have no information other than that regarding Petrina. The election result may well impinge on the choice to be made by the successful candidate .I do seem to rcall DCB offering Delroy the chair though were he to win.
