It doesn't matter what he has done for UKIP, it's what he has done for Britain that counts.

He is a very succesful businessman, creating employment and tax revenues for this country. He has also stood up and been counted, fighting for British freedoms and liberty.

If that doesn't deserve a lordship, then I don't know what does.

It's ben rummoured for some time that both Nigel and Roger are hoping for a seast in the Lords which if true would explain the lack of UKIP's effectiveness to not rock the boat too much.

Oh dear - some people may shortly mistake UKIP for one of the old corrupt established parties - snouts in the trough of taxpayers/EU cash - and money donors elevated to the Lords!

...we could almost call ourselves tories!

And rumoured that this was the reason for the falling out between them. Only one seat on that particular tory driven bus apparently.........

Get real kids. The lords is for those who have had some element of success in their personal lives. Being leader of the 2nd largest part in the Commons and almost winning a general election like Kinnock is success compared to almost coming third in a few seats in a general election like Knapman. Shitting money like the cash for peerages guys makes Bown look small fry - no one cares that UKIP would have died without him because no one cares about UKIP. Yes we should attempt to get peers but not through these two dead ends.

Some suggestions:

1. Become more respectable and credible and attract some present Eurorealist Lords to join us - remember they don't have to give up their chances of success like MPs.

2. Recruit successful people in their own field (doctors, inventors, musicians, scientists, religious leaders, military officers, lawyers) who have an outside chance of being made life peers and lobby for their inclusion.

3. Find a really, really, really rich backer. He can give a donation to Labour and then turn the tables on them...only joking

They say Mandelson had to be scraped off the wall when Max Clifford supported us in the last Eu elections

Yes, but Mandelson was expecting to turn it down saying I support Tony, who is already my client, so there's conflict of interest. He didnt, and started spinning against Tony on this issue...
