Default This Leadership Election has been very bad for UKIP

Each time I look at what is going on in this election I just despair for UKIP.

Contrasted with the Tories and Lib Dems elections we have had in UKIP near open war fare between some of the candidates.

Employees of the party are openly backing and undermining candidates and muck is being thrown, which damages UKIP.

Undisciplined, factional, it is a real mess.

3 of the things UKIP are accused of being are "fruitcakes, loonies and closet rascists" and we have many senior figures in the party just supplying the bullets to reinforce this view.

Do you really think the Lib-Dem election campaign is a shining beacon? Look what happened to their star performers and poll rating - and now their ex-leader is reported to be planning a comeback!

Yes, there is plenty to criticise here (alas), but don't for any favour compare us to the Dim Libs...

Tend to agree. There is the recourse of the Acting Returning Officer and one can but hope that he will act and sort at least the employees out and the senior party members. If he doesn't then I'm sure/hope something will be being raised by members at Conference.

Not a case of least said soonest mended on this one, regardless of who wins. These are issues that now and will need sorting.

All party leadership election candidates are like ferrets fighting in a sack - I don't think UKIP is much worse
Regardless of who wins there is a great deal to sort out in the party before we can go forward. I believe under Nigel the decline will continue but the battle will go on to restore probity. Richard will restore the probity but it won't be easy and then we have more than half a chance to move forward again and start becoming more effective and build up the membership.

No the dim libs campaign was not a shining example but it did not have any muck chucked around by officers and candidates. The oaten stuff came from a newspaper not inside UKIP. (To say nothing about the full extent of his activities...).

As to the issue of disciplinary action after the election. That is too late. And if one faction wins are they likely to discipline themselves........... Hell freezes over?

What racism?
The Richard Suchorzewski and Navid Noakes complaint against Team Nigel that nobody wants to investigate?

Who do you think gave it to the newspaper?

"Richard will restore the probity " Where is it lacking?

What attributes and experience does Richard have to restore probity if it were lacking?

Just making the promise is good for most people. The current sorry band have destroyed it and aren't even attempting to put it right.
