Richard has told us that guarantees are worthless so why should we accept his mere promises?

Because we only have a choice of new, potentialy clean and a promise of a years probabtion to prove himself, versus the same old story that UKIP have always had.

I'll take the maybe over the already failed thanks.

The allegation that one of the candidates had links to the BNP which Croucher appears to have put in a "missive" .....

Linda Guest (Member of NEC) said about Croucher (PR officer UKIP)
Quote:
Given the email below I believe that Croucher's claim not to be running a smear campaign cannot be substantiated. His supposed 'links' between Richard Suchorzewski and the BNP are tenuous in the extreme. .....Croucher also claims that Richard is linked to the BNP via Greg Lance-Watkins. Whether or not Lance-Watkins is connected to the BNP is largely irrelevant. He is not a member of the party. His support came to Richard Suchorzewski unasked for. How he can be seen as reason for the public embarrassment of a new UKIP leader is a mystery."

NO CANDIDATE OR OFFICER IN THE LIB DEMS SAID THAT OATEN WAS INTO RENT BOYS. The newspaper found it out, maybe with inside help, but they had to be very sure of their facts before they printed the story. In UKIP muck gets chucked without worrying about libel laws....

And can anyone justify how this improves our PR image?

It doesn't, but UKIP isn't like other parties. It's having it's tree sshaken hard at the moment, because if we don't get this right then it truly will be over. Some will say it already is, but the optimist in me says if we get the right guy in charge now and get this party put on a professional footing, then stuff like this will not happen again.

If it all gets swept under the carpet again, then progress will never be made.

A line has to be drawn under this sort of thing I agree and I think one way or another it will. The only question is who will it be drawn by? The reformists or the people with something to hide.

Well if this list is anything to go by it shows that UKIP's enemies are not the EU it is some of its own members who are only happy when they have something to complain about.

There has been racism and homophobia and other forms of hate in this campaign.

Its all here for some journo to make hay

Precisely. The party as I think I read recently has lost a minimum of 11,000 members in the last two years. That is 100 a week.

That is the sign of a party going belly up. Losing another 1000 or so because of infighting will hardly even make a blip in the graph. If this goes wrong the party could end and in disgrace rather than merely decline. In my view that is the choice.

doesn't matter Michael, whether he read it or had it beamed into his cortex by an alien. Are you denying it's true?

I don't know ,most probalby true, but as it has been stated here that the poodle is very close to an NEC member I would expect a little more precision .
I had it beamed to me that membership actually rose in March.stabilised in April and dropped slightly in May and was under 18000,but I may have dreamed it.
