Default UKIP reports donations late

UKIP has reported donations for the second quarter of £37,953.

This includes seven donations from Alan Bown that should have been reported for Q1 2006, totalling £27,543.

So some £10,000 donated for the 2nd quarter across the party? Have I understood right? So the Bromley donations didn't go to the party?

Could be marginal on the dates from commitment to handover?

May be accountable into the beginning of the third quarter ?

I believe that their Q2 figures exclude the late Q1 figures mentioned by John Page. All the (registerable) Q2 donations came from Alan Bown and include a £20,000 donation to Bromley Borough with a date of 28/5/6. This could not plausibly be a delayed Q1 donation as Eric Forth died 17th May. Interestingly or not Bown donated £1000 to Wales on 25/5/6.

Thank God Alan Bown supports UKIP, we'd be in big trouble if he didn't. And I hope he is still making plenty of money as well as spending what he already made.

Yes, thanks for that and I agree that your interpretation is right, and that the donations reported late were not included in the latest figures. So my surmise about £10,000 was wrong. All the reported donations came from Alan Bown, so the party must be very grateful to him.

For the first half of 2006 donations totalled £65,496. The non-cash donations totalling £43,116 are here, while the cash donations totalling £22,380 are here. They included £20,000 from Alan Bown to the Bromley campaign.

It's shameful really. After all this time, we are left with such reliance on one man.

There are plenty of wealthy people who are anti-EU, yet don't support UKIP.

That speaks volumes to me.

Strange, really, since NF's pitch is that he's good at attracting donors. No MEPs listed, I see.

One of the main reasons we need Richard to win the leadership election is we need new blood and new direction. UKIP should be attracting more money from the many patriots out there. I guess it says alot for the current regime that donations to our party are not so much better.

Is there anybody here who's not inward looking. For god sake! Stop worrying about the accounts and get out there and find some new members.

H.A. I wouldn't have the audacity to ask family or friends (anyone at present) to donate their hard earned money to a party whose financial accounts are a joke. I can assure you, no further subscriptions of mine will be going into some black hole

How about making a concerted effort to keep existing members? If we had, as quoted on some leaflets, 28 thou, and now we're at 17 thou, or whatever, that's 10,000 plus who've left. What happens when the 3 and 5-year memberships, sold before the last euro-elections run out? :?
