That was a joke, right? Please let it be a joke.

Alternatively this could be the 'Head Firmly Inserted in A... Party.'

"All the reported donations came from Alan Bown, so the party must be very grateful to him. "

Yes indeed.

And he doesn't seem to get het up about the accounts does he.Do you think he would give so freely if he thought there were serious problems with our accounts?

Well, in this day and age people want to be able to make their own judgements.

Yes, I agree the party, we, should be very grateful to Alan Bown for his generosity. In the end it was he who also provided some of the answers to the newly elected NEC members. No doubt he wouldn't be too pleased to see his money going on any fines being imposed for late returns, etc.

Been reading the papers lately regarding the way the three main parties are running financially?

Perhaps if their members had been more involved in their respective party accounts, asking the questions, taking an interest, their parties would not now be
a) under police investigation
and
b) in dire financial straits, in particular the Labour Party. Hang around to see what the financial cooks come up with at the Conservatives and Lib Dems

Ths is post by One Londoner seems to fit here as well

Its the strangest thing, but UKIP always had 100% compliance (including all 200 branches) when John de Roeck was Treasurer. Oh, but I forgot, he had to go because he wasn't a Chartered Accountant. Or was it because he always stood up to Nigel and demanded proper accountability from Ashford?

Avidly-----and talking direct to ElecComm, who aren't really that bothered about mistimed donations nor the Tories failure to declare pre -last quarter donors. One London seem more concerned but they have a different agenda.I've also done some more illuminating research at the DETNI .
